TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – Iranian sportswriters, sportscasters, and photographers and journalists were appreciated in a ceremony in Sports Hotel, central Tehran, Wednesday.

Sponsored by the country’s Sports Basij and Mehr News Agency, the ceremony aimed to honor those who are actively working in sports sector.

Delivering speech, Brigadier General Mashyekhi who is in charge of Basij sports offered a report on Basij athletic activities and a poll for holding the ceremony.

Head of Iran’s Volleyball Federation, Mohammadreza Yazdani-Khorram, President of Taekwondo Federation, Seyed Mohammad Pouladgar, and Chairman of Iran’s Sportswriters and Photographers Association, Abdolmajid Ahmadi pointed to the role of reporters and photographers in sports.
